Our Guidance

We have written a return to school swimming guidance document for you to download and read:

Pupils will be required to come “beach ready” to their swimming lessons i.e. wearing their swimming costume or swimming shorts under their clothes. Girls can wear tankinis while the changing restrictions are in place. Please ensure your pupils are all “beach ready” before leaving school.

The showers at the venues will not be in use, therefore please encourage your pupils to shower at home on a swimming day.

Googles maybe worn, but for some activities pupils will be asked to removed them to complete certain parts of the National Curriculum. Please make sure your pupils can put their goggles on and adjust them by themselves; our swimming teachers will not be able to assist with this.

We have written a updated template letter for parents you can download and adapt for your school:

Our parent/carer video presentation has updated to include information about COVID19, please point your parents/carers to the ‘Info for Parents/Carers‘ page.

We have created a checklist for you to go through before and after your swimming lessons:

We are will not be issuing the medal of the week at this time, but we will be asking our swimming teachers who will be getting the ‘WOW’ Card which you can print off and hand out when you are back at school:

Please also download the COVID19 flow diagram for adults or children that have any COVID19 symptoms or are contacted by the Track & Trace system:

We hosted a presentation focusing on the recovery of school swimming, please download the presentation:

We have also created a checklist for our swimming teachers that you can download and view for your information:

Our swimming teachers will teach from pool side, we have created ‘teaching stations’ at each pool to maintain social distancing. You can view these by downloading the document:

We have created a School Swimming COVID19 safety guidelines poster:

Risk Assessments

2020/2021 Block 2 Familiarisation Session

We hosted a familiarisation session for Block 2 on Zoom on Monday 8th of March 2021. This included updates on the COVID19 procedures and hosted a question and answer session. You can watch the recording of the familiarisation session on our YouTube channel.

Certificates

We normally print and hand over certificates to each school at the end of a Block of swimming. As we are now trying to reduce the passing of physical paperwork to school staff; we are asking schools to download and print the certificate below. We can help with what to write on them and it would be fantastic to hand them out in assembly to your pupils.

Transport

Our 2 contracted transport companies have created risk assessments and received their ‘Good to Go’ certificates that you can download:
